ARI was formed at the height of the Syrian Refugee Crisis and spearheaded advocacy in Puget Sound for more Syrian Refugees. ARI has collaborated with the Truman National Security Project, Oxfam America, the International Rescue Committee Seattle, Jewish Family Services Seattle, World Relief, ACLU-WA, One America, and many others.
Over the years, ARI has grown from a small group of volunteers to a respected organization with a wide range of programs and services. We are proud to have helped thousands of individuals and families in need. Serving individuals and families with immigration issues to complicated healthcare needs, assisting domestic violence and sexual assault survivors with attaining restraining orders and filing initial dissolution motions, assisting in navigating the family law courts, attaining donations from wheelchairs to household items, holding public information sessions and workshops to educate communities on the actual plight of refugees and the vetting process as well as creating sustainable community resources networks, political advocacy for the rights of refugees, migrants, and asylees, arranging the funeral and attaining graves as well as fully funded burial costs for families, and a lot more.
At ARI, we measure our success by the impact we have on the lives of those we serve. We are proud to have made a positive difference in our community and beyond.
